ClinConnect Summary
**Summary of the Family Study of Lymphoproliferative Disorders**
This clinical trial is focused on understanding blood and lymph node cancers, including different types of lymphoma and leukemia. These cancers involve the uncontrolled growth of certain white blood cells and can begin in various parts of the body, such as the lymphatic system or bone marrow. Researchers have noticed that these cancers often run in families, so this study aims to explore how genetics (the traits we inherit from our parents) and environmental factors (like exposure to certain chemicals) may influence the development of these types of cancers.
To participate in this study, individuals must be between the ages of 65 and 75 or between 36 and 52 and have at least two living blood relatives who have been diagnosed with one of these blood cancers. Participants will be interviewed and may provide blood samples to help researchers learn more about the factors that contribute to these diseases. This study is currently recruiting, and everyone, regardless of gender, is welcome to join. Your participation could help us better understand these conditions and potentially lead to improved ways to prevent or treat them in the future.
