ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Genetic Factors in Chronic Sinusitis," is looking to understand the role of genetics in chronic sinusitis, a condition where the sinuses become inflamed and can cause symptoms like nasal congestion and facial pain. Researchers want to identify specific genes that may be linked to this condition. The study is currently recruiting participants, and anyone between the ages of 18 and 74 who has been diagnosed with chronic sinusitis or has normal sinuses, confirmed by a recent CT scan, may be eligible to join.
If you decide to participate, you'll need to meet certain criteria, including having a recent imaging test to verify your sinus health. However, individuals with certain medical conditions, like genetic immune disorders or autoimmune diseases, will not be eligible. Participants can expect to contribute to important research that may help improve understanding and treatment of chronic sinusitis in the future. Your involvement could potentially make a difference for others dealing with this common health issue.
