ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding the biology of upper gastrointestinal cancers, specifically stomach and esophageal cancers. Researchers are studying tissue samples and cells from patients who have been diagnosed with these types of cancer, as well as blood samples from individuals who may have a higher risk due to family history. The goal is to learn more about how genes and proteins contribute to the development of these cancers, which could lead to better treatments and prevention strategies in the future.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be over 18 years old and either have a diagnosis of gastric or esophageal cancer or have a family history that puts them at higher risk for these cancers. Unfortunately, those under 18 or without a personal or family history of these cancers cannot join. Participants can expect to provide samples for study, and their involvement may help improve our understanding of these diseases. This research is currently open to anyone interested in contributing to advancements in cancer care.
