ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called the Registry of Older Patients With Cancer, aims to collect important information about older adults who have cancer. The goal is to better understand how cancer affects this age group and to improve future cancer research. The study is currently looking for participants who are 23 years or older and have an appointment at the North Carolina Cancer Hospital. It’s important that participants can read and speak English, and they will need to agree to complete a Geriatric Assessment, which is a test that helps evaluate their overall health and abilities.
Participants in this study can expect to contribute their information to a registry, which will be used for research purposes. Even if someone is not ultimately diagnosed with cancer, they can still be part of the registry, but their information will be kept in a separate group. This trial is open to all genders, and it’s an opportunity for older patients to help advance our understanding of cancer and its impact on older adults.
