ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on studying the immune system's response to gastrointestinal cancers, which include cancers of the throat, stomach, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, and colon. Researchers want to learn more about how the immune system fights these types of cancer by collecting blood and tumor tissue samples from patients who have been diagnosed with these conditions.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be at least 18 years old and have a diagnosis of gastrointestinal cancer. If you decide to join, you will visit the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center at least once and possibly up to four times. During these visits, you will undergo a physical exam, share your medical history, and provide blood samples at different stages of your treatment. If you have surgery as part of your treatment, you may also donate tumor tissue samples. It's important to know that this study does not provide any cancer treatment; its purpose is solely to gather samples for research.
