ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called the Pilot Project on Interdisciplinary Therapy of Obesity, is studying how different methods for treating obesity affect weight loss and overall health. It focuses on adults aged 18 to 65 who have a body mass index (BMI) over 30, which means they are considered obese. Participants will either follow a low-calorie diet plan or undergo bariatric surgery. The goal is to see if they lose more than 10% of their initial body weight within six months and to follow their progress for at least three years.
If you decide to participate, you’ll be monitored for changes in weight and quality of life, and you’ll provide samples every six months to help researchers understand how obesity affects the digestive system. The study is currently recruiting participants, so if you meet the criteria and are interested in learning more about your health and treatment options, this could be a valuable opportunity.
