Specimen imaging is an accepted method for evaluating tissue specimens which are obtained either through minimally-invasive breast needle biopsy (MIBB) or breast surgery. Specimen imaging is used to confirm the targeting and sampling adequacy of radiographically apparent breast abnormalities.
