ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how effective pulsed dye laser therapy is for treating burn scars. The researchers want to see if this treatment can help improve the height, texture, redness, and flexibility of scars that form after an acute burn injury. If you or someone you know has a burn scar that is between one to six months old, lives in Winnipeg, and has skin types I to III (which are lighter skin tones), you might be eligible to participate in this study.

Participants in the trial will receive laser treatment and will be monitored for any changes in their scars. It’s important to note that those with open wounds, active infections, or previous treatments for their scars (like steroid injections) will not be able to join. This study is currently recruiting participants, so if you're interested or want to learn more, please reach out to the study team for more information.
