ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding keloids, which are raised scars that can form after an injury or surgery. Researchers believe that genetics—our inherited traits—play a big role in why some people develop keloids. The aim of this study is to find specific genes and genetic markers on our chromosomes that might cause or contribute to keloid formation.
If you have keloids, or if you are part of a family with keloids but do not have them yourself, you may be eligible to participate in this study. Participants will help researchers gather important information about keloids and their genetic links. The study is currently looking for volunteers of all ages and genders. By joining this trial, you will contribute to a better understanding of keloids, which could lead to improved treatments in the future.
