ClinConnect Summary
The Dynamo trial is studying a special program designed to help children and teenagers aged 6 to 17 who are dealing with weight issues and other health concerns related to being overweight, like high blood pressure or problems with blood sugar. The main goal of this program is to encourage kids to be more active and spend less time sitting down, which can help improve their overall health. To do this, the researchers will use wearable devices that track how much the participants move around in their everyday lives. This information will help doctors give personalized advice to each child about how to stay active and healthy.
To join the study, children need to be between 6 and 18 years old and have a body mass index (BMI) that is higher than 95% of other kids their age and gender. However, children who have certain physical or mental health conditions that would make it hard for them to be active cannot participate. If eligible, participants can expect to be part of a supportive program that focuses on making lifestyle changes to improve their health. The trial is currently looking for new participants to join this important initiative.
