ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focusing on how the prostate moves during radiation treatment for prostate cancer. Researchers want to see if they can track this movement using small gold markers that are placed in the prostate. If the prostate moves more than 3 millimeters, the radiation beam will be paused and adjusted to ensure it stays on target. This could help make the treatment safer and more effective.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be adult males who are about to start radiation therapy for prostate cancer, confirmed by a biopsy. They should be able to have gold markers placed in their prostate and must not have certain complications, such as specific types of treatment schedules or closely spaced markers. Participants will be actively monitored during their radiation sessions, and those interested will need to understand the study and agree to partake by signing a consent form. This trial is currently looking for patients to join, and your participation could contribute valuable information to improve prostate cancer treatment.
