ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called HaemoDYNAMICs in Primary and Secondary Hypertension, is studying how blood flow and pressure change in people with high blood pressure, specifically looking at both primary hypertension (the most common type) and secondary hypertension (caused by other health issues like kidney diseases or hormonal problems). Researchers will use non-invasive methods, which means no needles or surgery, to measure these changes in different positions, such as lying down and standing up. They will also compare the results with those from individuals suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome.
To participate in this study, you need to be an independent adult who lives in the community and has high blood pressure (either primary or secondary). They are also looking for healthy individuals with normal blood pressure, people with aortic stenosis (a heart condition), and participants of Ironman Triathlon competitions. Unfortunately, those who are pregnant, have very low blood pressure, or are allergic to the test substances cannot join. If eligible, participants can expect a thorough and safe examination of their heart and blood flow, contributing valuable information that can help improve treatments for high blood pressure.
