ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "Analysis of Anterior Chamber Inflammation by Optical Coherence Tomography," is focused on studying a condition known as uveitis, which is inflammation in the eye. The researchers are looking to see if a special type of imaging called Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) can help us understand more about this condition by taking detailed pictures of the front part of the eye. This study is currently recruiting participants, and anyone with uveitis who visits the Cole Eye Institute may be eligible to join.
To participate, individuals need to be able to provide informed consent, meaning they understand what the study involves and agree to take part. Unfortunately, people who cannot understand this information, such as non-English speakers or those with severe cognitive impairments, will not be able to join. During the study, participants will undergo OCT scans, which are non-invasive and painless, to help gather valuable information about their eye condition. This research could lead to better understanding and treatment options for those suffering from uveitis.
