ClinConnect Summary
The TARGet Kids! study is a research project aimed at understanding the health of young children, specifically those between birth and 5 years old. Researchers want to find out how early life experiences can affect children's health, particularly in areas like obesity (being overweight), vitamin and mineral deficiencies, and growth and development issues. This study is a partnership between child health experts and doctors who work with kids, ensuring that the findings can lead to better healthcare solutions for children across Canada.
If you have a child aged 0 to 5 and are interested in participating, you would need to give permission for your child to join, and they must be seeing a doctor involved in the TARGet Kids! program. Children with chronic illnesses (except for asthma) are not eligible for this study. By participating, families can help researchers gather important information that could lead to improvements in children's health and nutrition. Overall, this study is a great opportunity to contribute to meaningful research that could benefit many families in the future.
