ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how a specific physical activity program can help lower blood pressure in patients who have both sleep apnea and high blood pressure that doesn't respond well to standard treatments. The researchers believe that using a CPAP machine, which helps people breathe better during sleep, along with a regular exercise program, can improve blood pressure control throughout the day.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be between 65 and 74 years old and have obstructive sleep apnea, which is a condition where breathing repeatedly stops and starts during sleep. They also need to have high blood pressure that hasn't improved despite taking three or more medications. Participants in the trial will be asked to commit to the exercise program while using the CPAP machine. This study is currently recruiting, and it's open to everyone, regardless of gender. If you're interested in participating, it's important to know that there are some health conditions that would exclude you, such as severe liver problems or very high blood pressure at the time of screening.
