ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how surgical treatment for rectal cancer affects patients' quality of life. It includes individuals diagnosed with rectal adenocarcinoma, which comes in various stages from I to IV. The goal of the study is to gather information about how these surgeries influence everyday living and well-being for patients both before and after their treatment. Researchers hope this information will help improve care for future patients.
To participate in the trial, patients need to have a confirmed diagnosis of rectal cancer that will be treated or has already been treated with surgery aimed at curing the disease. Participants must also be able to understand and complete a questionnaire in English. However, those who have had radiation treatment for a different type of cancer, have multiple cancer diagnoses, or have a recurrence of their cancer are not eligible. If you join the study, you can expect to fill out questionnaires that will help the researchers understand your experiences and quality of life related to your treatment.
