ClinConnect Summary
The Undifferentiated Connective Tissue Disease Registry is a research study aimed at helping doctors understand more about patients who have undifferentiated connective tissue disease. This condition can cause a variety of symptoms, such as joint pain, skin rashes, and tiredness, but it doesn't fit neatly into any specific disease category. The registry is currently looking for participants, and anyone between the ages of 65 and 74 who is being treated by a rheumatologist at HSS may qualify. To participate, patients should have certain positive blood test results and show at least one symptom related to connective tissue disease.
Participants in this study can expect to share information about their health and symptoms over time, which will help researchers learn how this condition affects people's lives both physically and emotionally. It’s important to know that this study is focused on patients who do not have well-defined connective tissue diseases like lupus or rheumatoid arthritis. If you or someone you know is interested in participating, please reach out to your healthcare provider for more information.
