ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding a group of diseases called vasculitis, which cause inflammation in blood vessels and can lead to various health issues. The researchers aim to learn more about the signs, symptoms, and tests that can help identify people with conditions like Takayasu's Arteritis and Giant Cell Arteritis. They want to study how these diseases develop and change over time, including looking at genetic information and conducting imaging tests to see how the blood vessels are affected.
Eligible participants include individuals aged 3 and older who have been diagnosed with vasculitis or are suspected to have it, as well as healthy volunteers. Participants will undergo evaluations by a specialist, provide blood and possibly urine samples, and may have imaging tests to assess their blood vessels. Some may also complete questionnaires. The study may involve a single visit lasting a couple of days, with potential follow-ups every few months. This research hopes to improve our understanding of vasculitis and ultimately help with better diagnosis and treatment for those affected.
