ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a condition called microvascular coronary dysfunction (MCD), which affects the small blood vessels in the heart and often causes chest pain, especially in women. The goal of the study is to better understand how this condition affects the heart's ability to relax. Researchers will recruit 30 participants, including 10 healthy women, 10 women diagnosed with MCD, and 10 women who are similar in age to those with MCD but do not have the condition. Participants will go through various stress tests and advanced heart imaging to help gather information about MCD.
To be eligible for the study, participants must be women aged 18 or older who can understand and agree to the study procedures. However, individuals with certain health conditions, like high blood pressure, diabetes, or those who have had serious heart, lung, or brain issues, cannot participate. The trial is currently looking for volunteers, and participants can expect a supportive environment where they will receive comprehensive care during the study. This research aims to shed light on a condition that affects millions of women and could lead to better treatments in the future.
