ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on using a special type of MRI called hyperpolarized (HP) 129Xe imaging to look at lung function in healthy adults. The researchers want to see how well this imaging technique can provide detailed pictures of the lungs, which could help in understanding and diagnosing respiratory disorders in the future. They are currently recruiting adults aged 18 and older who can hold their breath for up to 16 seconds.
To participate, individuals should not have certain health issues like heart defects or uncontrolled asthma, and they should not be pregnant. Participants will undergo an MRI scan, which is a painless procedure that takes pictures of the inside of the body. If you or someone you know is interested in joining this study, it’s important to know that those who feel anxious in tight spaces, such as in an MRI machine, may not be able to participate. Overall, this trial could help improve lung imaging techniques and enhance our understanding of lung health.
