ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new method for collecting sperm from men with a condition called azoospermia, which means they have no sperm in their semen. The researchers aim to improve sperm collection by using a technique called ultrasonically guided Rete Testis needle aspiration. This method targets all the tiny tubes in the testis that produce sperm, rather than just sampling a few tubes, which is what standard procedures do. This could help more men find viable sperm for use in fertility treatments like in vitro fertilization (IVF).
To participate in this trial, men must have been diagnosed with either obstructive or non-obstructive azoospermia and be seeking sperm cell aspiration for IVF. They also need to be suitable for the procedure and agree to participate. The trial is currently recruiting men aged between 18 and 50. Participants can expect a more thorough and efficient sperm collection process, which may lead to better outcomes for those struggling with fertility issues.
