ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is focused on developing a vaccine to prevent malaria during pregnancy. Malaria is a serious illness transmitted by mosquito bites, and pregnant women, along with young children, are particularly vulnerable. The researchers will test potential vaccine candidates using blood samples from pregnant women who have malaria. The goal is to find a safe and effective way to protect both mothers and their babies from this dangerous disease.

To be part of this study, participants must be pregnant women aged 15 to 25 years who test positive for malaria. They will need to provide consent for their blood samples to be used in future research and may undergo a physical examination. If a participant has malaria or anemia, they will receive treatment. The trial is taking place in Mali, West Africa, and is currently looking for volunteers. This research is important as it aims to improve the health of pregnant women and reduce the risks associated with malaria during pregnancy.
