ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a technique for accessing the internal jugular vein, which is a major vein in the neck often used for medical procedures. Sometimes, when doctors try to insert a needle into this vein and it doesn't work on the first attempt, they can either change the angle of the needle slightly to the side or move the needle a little to the other side. This study will use ultrasound imaging to see which approach is more successful and to find the best angle or distance for making a second attempt at inserting the needle.
To participate in this trial, patients need to be scheduled for general anesthesia and should be between the ages of 18 and 75. However, some patients cannot take part, including those who refuse to give consent, have neck injuries, instability in the upper neck, or conditions that could lead to increased pressure in the brain. Participants will receive careful monitoring and support throughout the process, and their safety and comfort will be prioritized.
