ClinConnect Summary

The French Prospective Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction Cohort Study (FAST) is a clinical trial that aims to understand how well patients recover after surgery for knee ligament injuries. Specifically, it will look at people who have had surgery to fix one or more torn ligaments in the knee, such as the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), to see how many experience re-injuries or new tears in the other knee, as well as how well they function in daily life at least two years after their surgery.

If you're between the ages of 25 and 56 and have had surgery to repair a ligament tear in your knee, you might be eligible to participate in this study. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and the only requirement for exclusion is if a patient chooses not to take part. Those who join can expect to provide information about their recovery and any issues they've experienced since their surgery, which will help researchers understand the long-term outcomes of these procedures.
