ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at children with cancer who have a fever and low white blood cell counts, a condition known as febrile neutropenia. The goal is to find out which clinical signs and lab test results can help doctors predict if these children are at risk for developing serious infections or complications. By understanding these risk factors, healthcare providers can better manage the care of young patients during this challenging time.
To be eligible for the study, participants must be under 19 years old and have been diagnosed with either blood cancers or solid tumors. They also need to be admitted to the pediatric oncology department for at least 24 hours after experiencing fever and neutropenia. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and it’s open to all genders. Those who join the study can expect to undergo a thorough evaluation, and their data will help improve how doctors care for children with similar conditions in the future.
