ClinConnect Summary

The Neonatal Neurologic Intensive Care Network of China is a clinical trial aimed at understanding and improving care for newborns with serious brain conditions, particularly those with neonatal encephalopathy, which is a type of brain injury. Researchers are collecting important information and biological samples, like blood and urine, from babies who are 28 days old or younger and show signs of brain problems such as seizures or difficulty moving. This information will help create a large database that can predict brain injuries and guide better treatments for these vulnerable infants.

To be eligible for the study, babies must be within the first 28 days of life and have specific neurological issues, such as hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (brain injury due to lack of oxygen) or other listed conditions. Parents or guardians must provide their consent for participation. By joining this study, families can contribute to valuable research that may improve future care for newborns with similar conditions.
