ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying new imaging techniques to better understand the properties of the aorta, the large blood vessel that carries blood from the heart to the rest of the body. Specifically, researchers want to see how these techniques can help assess the aorta in people with abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA), which is when the aorta becomes enlarged and can potentially be dangerous. By gathering this information, the hope is to improve the way doctors evaluate and treat patients with both healthy and aneurysmal aortas.
To participate in the study, you need to be over 18 years old and able to give consent. You may be eligible if you have an AAA (where the aorta is significantly enlarged) or if you have a normal aorta but need imaging for other medical reasons. However, if you have allergies to certain imaging dyes, severe kidney issues, or are unable to undergo specific imaging tests, you might not qualify. If you decide to join, you can expect to undergo some imaging tests that use these new techniques, which could help enhance our understanding of your condition and lead to better care in the future.
