ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) can help improve sexual function and quality of life in women experiencing sexual dysfunction. Sexual dysfunction can affect a woman's self-esteem, relationships, and overall happiness. The goal of this research is to see if CBT, a type of short-term therapy that focuses on changing negative thoughts and behaviors, can make a positive difference for these women.
To participate in this study, women aged 18 to 59 who have a specific measure of sexual function (indicated by a score of 26 or lower on the Female Sexual Function Index) are eligible. However, women with moderate to severe depression, or those receiving hormone therapy after joining the study, cannot participate. Those who take part can expect to engage in therapy sessions aimed at improving their emotional and sexual well-being, potentially leading to better relationships and a more satisfying life.
