ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying two types of minimally invasive surgeries for early-stage lung cancer: Robotic Lobectomy and Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Lobectomy (VATS). Both methods use small incisions and cameras to help surgeons remove part of the lung with less pain and quicker recovery than traditional open surgery. However, this trial aims to find out which method might offer better patient outcomes and overall quality of life, as well as to understand the costs associated with robotic surgery compared to VATS.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be at least 18 years old and diagnosed with early-stage non-small cell lung cancer, specifically clinical stages I, II, or IIIa. The doctors will determine if they are suitable candidates for these types of surgeries. For those who join the trial, they can expect to receive one of the two surgical approaches and will be monitored to see how well they recover and how their quality of life is affected. This trial is important because it will provide high-quality information to help guide decisions about the best surgical options for patients with lung cancer.
