ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring a new treatment for women suffering from urinary stress incontinence (SUI), a condition where women accidentally leak urine during activities like coughing, sneezing, or exercise. The study aims to see if a non-invasive method using radiofrequency can help stimulate the production of collagen in the urethra, which may improve the condition. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups: one will receive radiofrequency treatment along with physical therapy, while the other group will receive a placebo treatment (where the radiofrequency machine is turned off) and the same physical therapy.
To participate in this trial, women must be between 18 and 59 years old and have been diagnosed with urinary incontinence. They should also have a certain level of pelvic floor muscle strength. However, women with specific health issues, such as cognitive impairments or certain medical devices like pacemakers, cannot take part. Throughout the study, participants will attend five treatment sessions over five weeks and will be assessed on their progress through a variety of questionnaires and tests to measure improvements in their condition and quality of life.
