ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of auricular acupuncture compared to standard treatment for migraine headaches in patients visiting a pediatric emergency department. Auricular acupuncture involves placing tiny needles in specific spots on the ear to help relieve pain. The goal is to see if this alternative treatment can be as effective as the usual medications given for migraines.
To be eligible for the study, participants must be diagnosed with migraine headaches and be between the ages of 29 and 65. However, those who have already received migraine medications before joining the study, have allergies to the medications used, or have certain neurological or brain conditions will not be able to participate. If you choose to join, you will receive either the auricular acupuncture or standard treatment, and the researchers will monitor your progress to determine which method works better for relieving your migraine pain.
