ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how well chest compressions are performed during pediatric cardiac arrests and how this affects patient outcomes. Researchers want to understand how factors like the speed and depth of chest compressions, as well as the quality of care after the cardiac event, influence recovery in children. The trial is open to children aged from birth to 17 years who have received at least one minute of chest compressions during a cardiac arrest and have a special device in place to measure the quality of those compressions.
If your child is eligible to participate, they will be part of a study that looks at real-life situations in multiple hospitals. This means they will not receive any new treatments but will be monitored to help gather important information about how to improve care for kids experiencing cardiac arrest. It's important to note that children on a specific type of life support called ECMO at the start of the cardiac arrest won't be included in this study. The findings from this research could help improve emergency care for children in the future.
