ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how ultrasound can be used to look at the movement of tendons and nerves in the carpal tunnel, which is a narrow space in your wrist. This is important for understanding Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS), a condition that can cause pain, numbness, and weakness in the hand and wrist. The study is currently recruiting participants who are between the ages of 65 and 74 or 31 and 45 and have been diagnosed with CTS through a clinical exam and nerve tests.
To join the trial, participants must not have certain conditions such as cervical radiculopathy (which affects the neck nerves), rheumatoid arthritis, or any previous serious injuries to the arm. If you qualify and decide to participate, you can expect to undergo ultrasound scans that will help researchers gather valuable information about how CTS affects the tendons and nerves in your wrist. This research could lead to better understanding and treatment options for people with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.
