ClinConnect Summary
The COPD Patient-Powered Research Network (COPD PPRN) is an important study that aims to gather health information from at least 75,000 people who have Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (COPD) or are at risk for it. This research project is designed to help scientists learn more about COPD, which includes conditions like emphysema and chronic bronchitis, and to find better treatments and possibly even a cure. Participants can easily join the study online, fill out surveys, and learn about other research opportunities that they may qualify for.
To be eligible for this study, you need to be 18 years or older and meet at least one of the following criteria: have a COPD diagnosis, be a current or former smoker, have a family history of respiratory diseases, or show symptoms of respiratory issues. Unfortunately, if you do not speak English, you would not be able to participate.
