ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is evaluating a new device called pneuRIP, which is a non-invasive respiratory monitor that helps measure breathing patterns. The study will compare the effectiveness of the pneuRIP with an existing system called Respitrace in both healthy children and those with breathing difficulties due to neuromuscular diseases. Researchers are looking for 10 healthy children and 10 children who experience mild breathing issues to participate in this study.
To be eligible for the trial, participants should be between the ages of 4 and 17 years and able to follow simple verbal instructions. Children with severe breathing problems will not be included in the study. Participants will wear the monitoring devices during the trial, and their breathing will be observed to see how well the new device works compared to the older system. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to improve how we monitor breathing in both healthy individuals and those with specific health challenges.
