ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at patients who have both Chronic Hepatitis B (CHB) and Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD). The main goal is to understand how these conditions progress over time, especially in relation to serious issues like liver cirrhosis (scarring of the liver), complications from cirrhosis, and liver cancer. By comparing patients with just CHB or just NAFLD to those with both conditions, researchers hope to gain important insights into their health and treatment options.

To join this study, participants need to be Chinese and have had a liver biopsy that confirms they have either CHB, NAFLD, or both. They should also be willing to be followed for more than a year. Unfortunately, people with other liver diseases, those who drink alcohol heavily, or those who have had liver transplants cannot participate. If someone joins the study, they can expect regular check-ups and monitoring to help track the progress of their liver health over time. This research is vital for better understanding and managing these liver conditions.
