ClinConnect Summary
The Population-based Brest Stroke Registry is a clinical trial aimed at understanding how often strokes and related conditions occur in a specific geographic area. The study will collect and analyze information from individuals diagnosed with various types of strokes, including ischemic strokes (caused by blood clots) and brain hemorrhages (bleeding in the brain). By gathering this data, researchers hope to gain insights into the incidence of these conditions and improve care for patients experiencing them.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be over 15 years old and have a confirmed diagnosis of one of the following conditions: ischemic stroke, non-traumatic intracranial hematoma (bleeding within the skull), or cerebral venous thrombosis (a type of blood clot in the brain). Additionally, participants must live in one of the 79 defined communities at the time of their diagnosis. If you or someone you know fits these criteria and is interested in participating, you can expect to contribute important information that could help improve stroke prevention and treatment. The trial is currently looking for volunteers, and all genders are welcome to participate.
