ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying dermatomyositis, a condition that affects the skin and muscles, using a tool called the Cutaneous Dermatomyositis Disease Area and Severity Index (CDASI). The goal is to gather information about how this disease impacts patients' lives, including their physical symptoms and emotional well-being. Through this research, the team hopes to better understand how well different treatments work and how patients respond to them over time.
To participate, individuals must be at least 18 years old and have a diagnosis of cutaneous dermatomyositis. Participants will be asked to share their experiences and complete some surveys, which will help researchers track changes in their condition and overall quality of life. This ongoing study is being conducted at the University of Pennsylvania and will continue collecting data for five years, which means it will provide valuable insights into this challenging disease.
