ClinConnect Summary
The VCRC Tissue Repository study is focused on collecting tissue samples from people who have participated in other studies related to various conditions that involve inflammation of blood vessels, such as aortitis and vasculitis. By analyzing these samples along with the health information gathered in previous studies, researchers hope to better understand the causes of these diseases. This could lead to new ways to diagnose and treat these conditions, benefiting not just the participants but also the broader medical community studying autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.
To participate in this study, you must have previously enrolled in one of the VCRC studies. It’s important to know that you will need to provide informed consent, meaning you agree to allow your tissue to be used for research purposes. If you choose to join, you will simply be allowing researchers access to your existing tissue samples, and there are no additional treatments or procedures involved. This study is currently recruiting participants of all ages and genders who meet the eligibility criteria. Your contribution could help improve understanding and treatment options for these serious conditions.
