ClinConnect Summary
The Amish/Mennonite Research Contact Registry is a project aimed at finding members of the Amish and Mennonite communities who are interested in taking part in future medical research studies. The goal is to learn more about health issues that specifically affect these communities, using their family medical histories to identify individuals who may be suitable for participation in upcoming studies.
To be eligible, participants need to be Amish or Mennonite and at least 18 years old, or children with a parent's permission. The registry is currently looking for both men and women from these communities, regardless of their health conditions. Participants can expect to be contacted when research opportunities arise that match their backgrounds, helping to advance our understanding of health issues in these groups. It's important to note that individuals who do not speak English or are not part of the Amish or Mennonite communities cannot join the registry.
