ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is focused on improving how we measure and understand the cornea, which is the clear front part of the eye. Specifically, it aims to develop new tools and computer simulations that can help predict how individual patients will respond to treatments for conditions like keratoconus (a condition that causes the cornea to become thin and bulge) and refractive errors (like nearsightedness or farsightedness) that may require surgery like LASIK. Patients who have been diagnosed with keratoconus and are considering corneal crosslinking or those who are candidates for LASIK surgery are invited to participate.

To be eligible, you should have a confirmed diagnosis of keratoconus or be scheduled for LASIK surgery. Participants will have their eyes imaged to assess their cornea's properties, and the study will explore if computer models can accurately predict how the shape of the cornea changes after treatment. The trial is currently recruiting participants of all genders, aged between 18 and 65. If you join, you can expect a thorough evaluation of your eye health and to contribute to important research that could lead to better treatment options for others in the future.
