ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a new surgical technique called prophylactic limited palmar fasciectomy, which aims to reduce complications and scarring for patients with Dupuytren's contracture who are also having surgery for trigger finger. The goal is to see if this technique can help patients recover better and have less discomfort after their surgery by minimizing the thickened scars that can develop.
To participate in this study, candidates need to be between 18 and 74 years old and must have been diagnosed with trigger finger and a specific type of Dupuytren's cord. They should also have already tried other treatments without success or have chosen surgery as their best option. Those who join the study can expect to undergo this new surgical method and contribute to important research that may improve future care for others facing similar issues.
