ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying genetic factors related to pheochromocytomas and paragangliomas, which are types of tumors that can affect the nervous system and are often inherited. The researchers aim to identify specific genes that may be involved with these tumors and understand how different genetic backgrounds can influence the characteristics and behavior of the disease. This research is important because it can help doctors make better decisions about treatment and management for patients and their families.
To participate in this study, you may be eligible if you have been diagnosed with a pheochromocytoma or paraganglioma, or if you have a family member who has been diagnosed with one of these tumors or related conditions. Participants will undergo genetic testing to identify any mutations that may be present. It’s important to note that just because someone has a pheochromocytoma or paraganglioma, it doesn't mean a genetic mutation will always be found. This trial is currently recruiting participants of all ages and genders, and it aims to improve understanding and care for those affected by these conditions.
