ClinConnect Summary
The ImPACT Normative Extension trial is studying a computer-based test called ImPACT Online, which helps evaluate how a concussion affects things like memory, attention, and reaction time. The researchers want to see how well this test works compared to other common tests used for checking brain function after a concussion. They are currently looking for participants aged 60 to 80 who speak English fluently, do not live in a nursing facility, and are not currently experiencing or being treated for a concussion.
If you or a family member are eligible and choose to participate, you will complete the ImPACT Online test, which is designed to assess cognitive abilities. To qualify, participants must have no significant hearing or vision problems that haven't been corrected and must score 24 or higher on a simple mental health exam. This study aims to improve how we understand and manage concussions, contributing to better care for individuals affected by these injuries.
