ClinConnect Summary

The UTHealth Turner Syndrome Research Registry is a clinical trial focused on understanding a specific heart condition called Bicuspid Aortic Valve (BAV) in women with Turner Syndrome (TS). The researchers aim to compare genetic information from TS patients who have BAV with those who do not. By doing this, they hope to find out what causes BAV in people with TS and to identify patterns of heart defects that may lead to complications in the future.

To participate in this study, you need to have a diagnosis of Turner Syndrome. Unfortunately, if you have been diagnosed with a condition other than Turner Syndrome, you won't be eligible. If you join the trial, you can expect to provide some genetic information and answer questions about your health, which will help the researchers learn more about the relationship between Turner Syndrome and heart issues. This important research could lead to better care and support for women with Turner Syndrome in the future.
