ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding how different patients with precancerous lesions in the stomach might progress to gastric cancer. Researchers want to learn about which patients are at higher risk and determine how often they should be monitored. By identifying those at greater risk, the study will provide endoscopic surveillance, which is a procedure that allows doctors to look closely at the stomach using a flexible tube with a camera.
To participate in this study, patients should be between the ages of 65 and 74 and must be scheduled for an upper endoscopy, a common procedure to examine the stomach. They also need to be willing to participate and sign consent. However, individuals who already have gastric cancer or are unable to cooperate will not be eligible. Patients who join the study can expect careful monitoring and follow-up based on their risk levels, helping to ensure they receive the right care and attention for their condition.
