ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how blood platelets behave in patients who have heart failure and are using devices that help the heart pump blood, like the Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) or other mechanical support systems. The main goal is to understand how these devices affect blood clotting and how medications that prevent blood clots work in these patients. By gathering this information, the researchers hope to find out what causes complications, such as blood clots or bleeding, after the devices are implanted, and to discover new ways to improve treatment.
To participate in this study, patients must be adults aged 18 or older who are either already using a mechanical support device or are candidates for one. If you join the trial, you can expect to undergo tests and evaluations related to your blood's ability to clot and how it interacts with the support device. The trial is currently looking for participants, and your involvement could help improve care for future patients with similar conditions.
