ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying cognitive impairment, or memory problems, in older adults aged 65 and over who are living with HIV. Researchers want to understand how common these memory issues are in this age group since many people with HIV are getting older. The goal is to find ways to identify and help those who may experience difficulties in daily tasks or work because of cognitive impairment, even though they are being treated for HIV.
To participate in the study, individuals need to be between 65 and 80 years old, speak French, and have some concerns about their memory, either personally or from family members. They must also have a stable HIV condition with a low viral load for over a year. Participants will undergo assessments to better understand their cognitive health. It’s important to note that people with certain recent health problems or those who cannot have an MRI scan will not be eligible for this trial. This study is currently looking for participants, and joining could help contribute to better understanding and support for older adults living with HIV.
