ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding a condition called Central Retinal Artery Occlusion (CRAO), which is similar to a stroke but occurs in the eye. CRAO happens when the blood supply to the retina is blocked, leading to sudden vision loss. The researchers want to improve how CRAO is diagnosed and understood by using advanced imaging techniques, specifically a type of MRI that can provide detailed pictures of the brain and eyes. They hope to identify specific signs in these images that can help determine the cause of CRAO and predict how a person's vision might recover after treatment.
To participate in this study, individuals must be at least 18 years old and have experienced symptoms of CRAO within the last 48 hours. Participants will undergo a special MRI scan and will be monitored to see how their vision changes over the following month. This trial is currently recruiting participants of all genders, and it’s important to note that anyone with certain conditions that prevent them from having an MRI will not be eligible. By taking part in this study, participants may help improve the diagnosis and treatment of CRAO for future patients.
