ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding the characteristics of a condition called infantile hemangioma (IH), which is a common type of birthmark that usually appears as a raised, red area on the skin in babies. The study aims to gather information about how IH presents in children, especially looking at cases where the hemangioma affects the liver (called infantile hepatic hemangioma) and instances where the hemangioma breaks down the skin (ulceration). By collecting this information, researchers hope to improve the care and treatment options for children with IH.
To be eligible for this study, children must be 6 years old or younger and diagnosed with infantile hemangioma. Both parents or guardians need to agree to participate. However, children with other types of vascular growths or those who have already received specific treatments for hemangiomas are not eligible. If a child joins the trial, their doctors will monitor their condition closely and gather important data, which could help in understanding this condition better in the future.
